Apartment electrical upgrades

When this young couple purchased this apartment, they wanted big changes, new kitchen, bathroom, living electrical refurb, and more. By removing the kitchen wall it really opened up this awesome inner west apartment.

Everything was gutted out, carpets removed, bathroom and kitchen stripped down, Lots of changes to come including a switchboard upgrade, additional power points, new lights & ceiling fans to be installed.

The switchboard upgrade

The classic porcelain fuse switchboard had to go, for the time being, we installed a safety switch on one power circuit was the reno unfolds, when we fit off we're going to install a 12 pole switchboard enclosure complete with individual RCBO's (safety switches) including one on their new induction cooktop.

New power points installed

How annoying is it when there are not enough power points?

Not any more! This apartment now has ample power points around the kitchen, living, and bedrooms.

To get the cables from A to B in this apartment wasn't fun, we had to chase the render and walls and embed the cables into the walls. The renderers then patched over.

Ceiling fan install

The bedrooms and living will have new DC ceiling fans installed to assist with airflow in the summer. Unfortunately, there is no air conditioning installed, I think the correct fan can be as good!
