Christiane was carrying out renovations in her new apartment when we spotted her substandard electrical switchboard. It had fire-prone porcelain fuses and no electrocution protection. We fixed that for her...

We dismantled the old switchboard, checked the cabling to find as expected burn marks on the connections (red circle below). Fused switchboard not only have no safety switches, but they are also prone to fire, especially if your uncle has replaced the fuse wire for you lately.

Reinstalling a new eight-pole switchboard enclosure with safety switches on every circuit.

Pullcord install

Additional to upgrading the switchboard we also replaced a pull cord that was controlling a bathroom extractor fan for Christiane, this was previously on a dodgy switch that was hanging out of the ceiling!
