LED Downlights - Rozelle

This week we finished a light rewire and retrofit of LED downlights in a ground floor apartment in Rozelle.

Above, you can see how we had to utilise the centre light fitting as the point of supply, we junctioned it there and spread the feed around the ceiling with plug bases.

How good is technology? We used our laser line projector to ensure the positioning were precise for the cable and plug base locations. Above we drill out the concrete ceiling, install mounts and cable tie the cable to the ceiling, ready fro gyproc.

Steve (client) had to drop the ceiling 200mm due to it being solid concrete, this is a common occurrence in old Sydney apartments. You can see from the before pictures it was the old splatter style ceiling... the type you can literally scrape with your finger and it crumbles.

All Measured up, drilled out and ready to install the LED downlights. We cut the holes with a 89mm hole saw and the lights sit in perfectly.

While we were at it we installed dimmer switches and tidied up the existing switches with newer, white switches to replace the yellow discoloured ones.

Simple, but effective. Two 10w LED Downlights installed on a dimmer switch in the bedroom. They give such a nice even spread of bright light.

The kitchen/Living area turned out a treat in the Rozelle apartment. We had a total of six lights in the living and three in  the kitchen. Once painted this mini project turned out awesome, another happy client.
