Challenging Induction Combi Installation in Camperdown

Challenging, but possible!

Induction cooktops are becoming increasingly popular, and we recently had the opportunity to install a free-standing induction combi unit for a client in Camperdown, Sydney Inner West. The client was eager to remove gas from her home due to health concerns, opting for the safer and more efficient induction technology.

The installation wasn’t without its challenges. The cable run required some creative solutions, including lifting decking and threading the cable underneath, then routing it up through the kitchen cabinets to connect to the new cooker. The existing setup only had a 20-amp cable, which wasn’t sufficient for the 50-amp load required by the new unit. We installed a more robust cable to ensure the system could handle the increased demand.

This project not only improved the client’s kitchen setup but also contributed to a safer, more energy-efficient home environment.
