Heritage Ceiling Fan Install - Newtown

Kim lives in a very elderly building in Darlinghurst, he claims one of the oldest building complexes. The ceilings are original, check out how we had to install this ceiling fan.

Making the ceiling fan bracket

Luckily, we had a bit of flat aluminium which we cut to suit, drilled out some holes and bolted it on, we then screwed this to the timber mount and it was solid as!!

How did we install the fan?

We had to do a little bit of engineering and modifying on the bracket to suit. The original timber bracket had to remain as it was solid on the rose if removed it would jeopardize us having a mount in the ceiling.

Fan installed

The fan installed and Kim was really happy how it turned out! The fan looked excellent on the heritage ceiling rose. The fan was powerful as it was a DC ceiling fan, even though the fan was high up there was no need for an extension bar with the airflow it gives off.
